Jeetack 527 is a tackifier additive made from ultra-high-molecular-weight polyisobutylene in paraffinic oil. It enhances tackiness and stringiness in lubricants, helping prevent dripping, spattering, and splashing. Suitable for a wide range of industrial oils and greases—including slide-way oils, wire-rope lubricants, gear oils, bar and chain saw oils, and rust preventives—it is typically used at 0.25–2% treat rate. The product is a clear, viscous liquid with high viscosity and good thermal stability, easy to blend, and considered non-hazardous under normal handling conditions.

Application
Jeetack 527 Tackifier is an Additive that can gives tack and/or stringiness to Lubricants. The product prevents dripping, spattering, splashing and wiping off. The Additive can be used in several Industrial Lubricants and Greases as well as Specialty Oils. Some of the applications are:

Treat Rate
The treat rate for a typical formulation would be in the range of 0.25 to 2% by weight. As there is no standard test procedure for measuring tackiness it is best decided by the formulator.

Storage & Handling
Normal storage conditions as applicable to any petroleum additive is advisable for storing Jeetack 527
Tackifier. Maximum storage temperature should not exceed 50C.
Blending
Jeetack 527 Tackifier can be blended using conventional blending equipment
Hazard/Toxicity
The product is non-hazardous and nontoxic. Normal handing precautions as in the case of any petroleum additive is advisable.
